Tiptop Audio RS909 - Analog Rimshot Drum Module

The RS909 is a Eurorack module that faithfully recreates the TR-909’s analog rimshot sound generator, adding a low-cost, legendary drum sound to your modular synthesizer. It expands your Tiptop Audio modular drum machine with the iconic rimshot.
Using an exact reproduction of the original analog circuit, the RS909 generates its sound through three T-bridge oscillators producing damped sine waves at different frequencies. These oscillators mix through a VCA controlled by an envelope generator, creating the distinctive attack and unique feel of the rimshot.
The RS909 brings frequency control of two internal oscillators (OSC1 and OSC2) to the front panel, allowing pitch adjustments for extended sound capabilities and fine-tuning of the classic sound. It includes a high-powered output gain stage for hot signals and a pulse-shaper circuit on the inputs for stable triggering from various pulse sources. The Accent input accepts both CV and Gate signals for dynamic sound variation. These features make the RS909 an easy and powerful addition to any modular synth setup, delivering authentic analog drum sounds.
