Tiptop Audio's Quad Sample and Hold Model 264t is a four channel sample or track and hold module with a specialized logic board designed for integrating polyphony into your Eurorack patch. Each of the four channels can be used independently, or used to create selectable two, three, or four-voice polyphony using a common CV source. This common control disseminates the CV to different outputs each time a trigger is sent to the pulse input, essentially creating round-robin style polyphony in a modular environment. With four channels that can be used from a common voltage source or as independent utilities, the 264t is fantastic both as a purpose-built polyphony manager or as a powerful voltage memory source.
Going beyond the original design, the 264t adds a ton of useful creative tools for managing melodic and harmonic content in an ART-enabled modular system. A new pitch quantization section has been added that allows you to seamlessly move from a major to a minor key by way of a chromatic scale. The 264t internally routes its main control voltage outputs through this four-channel quantizer, deriving unique melodic shapes and colors from the four ART outputs. Root notes are selected via an independent twelve-position knob and can be modulated with CV, enabling further creative applications with inspired patching.
